"CUSTUMER SERVICE
PRINTERS SEE NET AS FONT OF NEW PROFITS"

This is the thinking behind the first online British print shop - Card Corporation - launched this month. Set up by print specialist, Ivor Jacobs, the site is designed to provide a cut-price, small volume, business-card service with fast turnaround. Card designs can be held securely on the Web and modified at will.

This is the thinking behind the first online British print shop - Card Corporation - launched this month. Set up by print specialist, Ivor Jacobs, the site is designed to provide a cut-price, small volume, business-card service with fast turnaround. Card designs can be held securely on the Web and modified at will.

"We have been able to rationalise the whole proccess to such an extent that we can offer colour cards at the same price as single colour for very low volumes," says Jacobs. "Typically, employees in corporates can buy full-colour cards for as little as £7 for 100. Even small business would pay a maximum of £25 for full colour regardless of how infrequently they order."

Clients will be able to track and pay for orders online and any orders received by 12 noon will be dispatched by 6pm the next day. "The huge advantage is that if you run out, you can order new supplies wherever you are in the world from a PC and have them couriered out at a price and speed that would be competitive with local printing.
